Vera Seow Choy was born on January 4th,1937, to Relva Jane Lowers and Sam Seow Choy at
Claremont, St. Ann Parish, Jamaica West Indies. Vera left her hometown for the city of Kingston
in her early twenties. It was there where she met Mr. Fitz Webley, fell in love and got married in
1961 at St. George's Church, Kingston Parish. The union produced five beautiful children: Chris,
Debby, Andrea, Lance and Toni; seven grandchildren: Steve, Tyesha, Zachary, Jamari, Alec,
Kaylah and Eli; and one great granddaughter, Eden.
In lieu of a traditional obituary, Vera (also known as Tatsy) just wanted to send her love to her
family, her in-laws, her friends and all the people she met along her life's journey. They made
her life a wonderful and blessed one.
Special thanks go to Dr. Jade Jones and her team at Emory Winship Cancer Institute in the
Metro Atlanta area who treated her with love and kindness. Also, not to be forgotten are her
many caregivers. God bless you all.
Tatsy is remembered fondly and is survived by her children, Chris, Debby, Andrea, Lance and
Toni; her grandchildren, Steve, Tyesha, Zachary, Jamari, Alec, Kaylah and Eli; her great
granddaughter Eden; her sisters, Freida (Bibsy), Beryl (Lovie), Hazel; her brothers, Victor,
Stuart, Evan, Claude and Lascelles; her sisters in-law, Blossom, Audrey, Janet, Roslyn and
Leonie; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Fitz, her mother Jane, her father Sam, her sister
Gloria and her stepfather Percy.
