Tommy Brady Obituary

Michael, Husband of Tommy:

Tommy Brady loved to laugh ,tell jokes and be with his friends and family . Tommy was an avid Gardner and landscaper. He loved our dog Patches who would follow him around and jump on his lap when he was in his recliner. Tommy was an unassuming man, generous and trusting to a fault.  We always said he had that Irish sense of humor that I didn't get being Italian .That was an ongoing joke between us.
Tommy is survived by his loving husband Michael , brother Rick, sister in laws Sue, Joan, Marilynn and Carol brother-in-law's Paul and Marty , nieces, nephews, grand  nieces and grand nephews who he loved dearly.
Tommy died from ALS which is a cruel and debilitating disorder.  They say it is the worst possible disease to have, yet he never complained, or felt sorry for himself .
He was the bravest man I have ever know .I will always love him.
May he now be free of pain and dancing in the clouds.

Rick, Brother of Tommy:

It's hard for me to find the right words to say.  I never thought I would be writing an obituary for my baby brother, which is what he was to me.  I remember being 8 years old and our mother coming home with Tommy.  Tommy was always our mothers pride and joy, the sun rose and set on Tommy.  In return he treated her wonderful, a son could not have been better to his mother than Tommy was.
As Tommy  got older and started working as a bartender his true personality came out, he always had a story or joke to tell, a quick come back to give, or an ear to listen.  Everyone loved him.  He eventually left his bartending days and made a career in building construction, which he enjoyed.
Tommy had his struggles in life, that's for sure.  It was heartbreaking in 2015 when he was diagnosed with ALS.  But with the love and care of Michael , they managed to make the best of a tough situation, and live life to its fullest.
I am happy that Tommy was able to find his true self.  It saddens me that he didn't have more time here with us, but will always remain in our hearts. May God keep you safe Tommy. Until we meet again.......
Cheers baby brother
