It is our honor to share this Dedication with you.
Sincerely,
The family of Tom Yerou.
From hanging out on the streets of Flushing, Queens and singing in his church choir to United States Navy Ceremonial Honor Guard in Washington, DC.; Tom fell in love with a Navy Wave, Vi and a 1965 Chevy Malibu which became his signature persona all around town. He went on to become an amazing father of 3 Dianna, Peter and Susan Yerou. and beloved "Coach Yerou" to so many at Valley Stream Central High School.
Tom was a most dedicated father and a friend to his children, attending every game, concert, competition and show with enthusiasm, never missing a moment of their lives. With his cameras in hand, he created permanent memories with his picture books and expressive caricatures for all to treasure. Tom led by example, instilling family values of moral character, resilience, determination, generosity, honesty and unconditional love to all he cared for.
As a grandpa of 4 he mentored, loved and cherished Ryan and Emily Mullen and Alexander and Demetri Yerou. They each have their own special memories of time spent with grandpa, whether on the beaches of Florida, talking about space or on the sports fields of Ballston Spa.
He generously shared his passion for astronomy, geology and the sciences, with family and friends. As he always said, "We are made from Stardust." His Stardust now rejoins the celestial bodies in the Cosmos. Forevermore he is our Supernova.
