Today, we gather to honor Stanley, aka Dad, Pop, Pop Pop, Ja Ja, Uncle Stanley, and Mr.Wujcik. He was a quiet and gentle soul who blessed this world for nearly a century. As a child, he was lovingly called Sunny—a name that, even then, hinted at the light he would one day bring to all who knew him. Little did anyone know how perfectly that name would capture his spirit. His kindness, his warmth, and his gentle presence illuminated the lives around him.
Though soft‑spoken, he possessed a quiet strength that stayed with him until his very last days. He often joked, with a twinkle in his eye, that “the first 100 years are the hardest.” Beneath that humor was a resilience shaped by a lifetime of challenges and loss. Yet through everything, his faith carried him, anchored him, and allowed him to keep moving forward with grace.
What made him truly remarkable was his selflessness. No matter what he was facing, he always asked how you were doing first. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or only for a few brief moments, you felt his genuinely sweet and gentle kindness.
We were blessed to have him with us for as long as we did. His presence made our lives brighter, steadier, and kinder. And for that, we are profoundly thankful.
May his memory continue to warm our hearts and brighten our days!
