Rudolph Malcolm Obituary

In Loving Memory of Rudolph George Malcolm

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Rudolph G. Malcolm, who left us on September 25, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born to parents Clara Hill and George Malcolm in St. Andrew, Jamaica W.I. and was the youngest of his siblings. An Artist by trade, Rudolph spent his early years working at the Ministry of Health in Kingston, before migrating to the United States in the late 1980s. He continued his career across various industries until his well-earned retirement.

One of dad’s greatest accomplishment is his children and he often touts it every chance he gets. He was beyond proud. It wasn’t always easy or perfect but there is no doubt his love for us will always be imprinted in our hearts.

Our father was a man of strong will and conviction, but his strength was always tempered by an enormous heart and a radiant smile. Known for his friendly and outgoing nature, his passion for life and infectious energy often left a lasting impression on friends and family.

Rudolph has a knack for making others smile, his quick wit and unintentional humor will be missed. His love for music was undeniable, his impressive collection of classic vinyl records is one to be envied.

Our dad will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and genuine kindness. He left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. Saying goodbye is never easy but we know that our dad is at peace. Daddy, you gave it your best shot, but now you are sailing on a journey to shores that we simply cannot see. Rest in eternal peace Daddy.

Rudolph is survived by his daughters Christine Grant, Vivienne Malcolm-Powell, Shellita Malcolm, Anna-Kay Thompson, son Omar Malcolm and step-daughter Elizabeth Williams; grandchildren Jason, Phylicia, Stephanie, David, PJ, Alexander, Kyle, Tyler, Shandon, Jasmine, Maya, Allison, Shannon, Kason and Grayson; great grandchildren Zander, Zoella Rose, Khaleed; sister Dorrett, nieces, nephews, sons-in-laws Robert, Keimar and his cherished partner Sylvia (Ms. Cherry) and family.

“It’s the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, till we find our place, on the path unwinding”. ~ The Lion King
