Rose Marie Chamorro was born January 10, 1941, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Ramon
Feliciano Roldan and Maria Luisa Rosario Ramos. At an early age, her family moved to
Brooklyn, New York. It was there Rose met her future husband, Hector Louis Chamorro. Rose
and Hector were married on April 23, 1960. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding
anniversary this year. Their life together had its ups and downs as all of us do, yet in the end,
their love for each other persevered.
During her life, Rose wore many hats: beautician, paraprofessional, secretary, and bookkeeper.
Her best unofficial position was confidant and therapist. She was there for everyone, especially
her family and children, Jay, Victor, and Debbie. As her kids grew and started their own families,
Rose embraced her roles as Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
Those who knew Rose will tell you many different beautiful things about her, yet you will hear a
reoccurring theme. She was kind and generous, always willing to help and not expect anything
in return. She enjoyed crocheting gifts for family, painting, doing arts and crafts and gardening in
her spare time. She was a great listener and gave the best advice, always keeping your best
interest at heart.
Her relationship with God was strong and she had strong connections with her church. She
prayed the rosery and was always praying for her family. During the pandemic, Rose and
Hector moved to Brooksville, Florida to enjoy their beautiful retirement home. Unfortunately,
they were unable to remain there due to a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease and returned home
to be with their beloved family in 2022.
Rose was called home by her Heavenly Father on Friday April 4, 2025. She is preceded in
death by her parents, Ramon Feliciano and Maria Luisa Rosario, along with her siblings. Angel
Manuel Feliciano, Maria Rosa, and Aida Feliciano, her Mother-in-law Ana Renta and Sister-in-
law Anna Celia Chamorro. She is survived by her loving husband, Hector Louis Chamorro, her
son Hector Chamorro Jr (Alma), her son Victor Chamorro (Nancy), and her daughter Debra
Patino (Luis), her Grandchildren Zedekiah Perez, Jay Luis Chamorro, Justin Chamorro, Carissa
Rosario (Jonathan), Jessica Chamorro, Amanda Patino, Gabriela Patino, and Alexa Marie
Patino, Her great-grandchildren Alexia Perez and Landon Rosario, her sisters Evelyn Feliciano
and Marge Leahy and her Sister-in-law Margaret Vazquez, along with numerous nieces and
nephews.
Rose was loved and respected by many. Although her family and loved ones grieve greatly and
will miss her more than words can say, we take comfort that she is now at peace with her loved
ones who passed before her and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
