Roopchan Manchoon

Roopchan Manchoon aka Bhola Persad to few close people passed away peacefully on Saturday June 7, 2025 at the age of 87.  He was born in Debe, Trinidad West Indies on January 10, 1938. He was the patriarch of the family and took on the role with pride stepping in when many of his siblings passed.
Roop is survived by his four children Rooplal, Roshan, Judy, and Shammie and 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and the many many siblings kids and grand kids he called his own. He was the second child of 5 siblings and had an additional 7 siblings when his parents remarried.  He is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Roop was born to Cheeriah and Gajadhar Ramgattie and eventually took on the surname of Manchoon to honour the step-father who raised him. He met his wife Bhagwatee and they married in June 1958.  They emigrated to the United States in 1969 where he eventually got a job in the mailroom of JVC Corp., a job he was very proud to have. Him and his wife dedicating themself to creating property wealth, she handling the administrative part and he the construction and plumbing side.  He provided for his family and made sure they never wanted for anything.
He always loved Trinidad it was where his heart was and he and his wife built a home there where his mother-in-law lived there until her end of days. They visited often sometimes multiple time throughout the year.
He always loved his family around, that brought him the biggest joy.  Cars was also his passion. 
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, may he rest in peace knowing your legacy of love and kindness to one and all will continue to inspire all who knew you.
