Robin Salvatore
12/7/1930 - 5/13/2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Salvatore on May 13, 2025
at the age of 94. He was the eldest of four children born December 7, 1930 to George and
Grace Salvatore and a lifelong New Yorker.
Robin was a devoted and loving Husband two times over. Widowed by his wife Madeline after
47 years and survived by his wife Angela of 25 years. He was also an incredible Father,
Stepfather, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, GG Pop, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
He was a renaissance man with a brilliant and beautiful mind. Robin had a gift with anything
mechanical, nautical and aviation related. At different times in his life he was a Merchant
Marine, Airline Mechanic and a Gyroscope Engineer. He retired as a Radio Mechanic with the
FDNY.
Robin had a passion for the arts. He was an award winning dancer and roller skater, music
lover, piano/organ player and even a D.J. later in life. Robin spent most summers of his life on a
lake in Maine and graciously shared this with family and friends. He enjoyed all aspects of this
time from sailing, boating, water skiing and jet skiing. Even at the ripe age of 80 the man was up
on water skis and speeding around on his jet ski.
Robin was a kind and gentle soul who loved all things living and breathing. The only thing
greater than his mind was his heart. Robin was an amazing man and will be sorely missed.
