Richard Kweku Essandoh was born on December 9, 1953, in Ghana, West Africa. In his early twenties, he made the courageous decision to move to the United States in pursuit of higher education and greater opportunities. That life-changing journey led to far more than he could have imagined.

Richard built a meaningful life in Queens, New York, where he established a successful career and raised a loving family. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Eva, Rachel, and Abby, who were the pride and joy of his life.

A God-fearing man with a generous spirit, Richard touched the lives of many through his kindness, wisdom, and willingness to help others. He was a blessing to his family, friends, and community, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.

On May 23, 2026, God called Richard home. While his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, love, strength, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
