Parrasram Gunness

Parrasram Gunness, nicknamed as Paro or Spee, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 14, 2024, at the age of 80 in Valley Stream, NY. He was born on January 18, 1943, in Penal, Trinidad. Parrasram was a loving father and grandfather, known for his soft-spoken nature, leadership qualities, hard work, and dedication.

Parrasram had a successful career as a Heavy Equipment Engineer, working for Local 14-14B IUOE for over 30 years. His expertise and commitment were highly regarded in his field.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Rosabelle Gunness, and their children Suzette, Rudy, Randy (& Angie), Karen (& Brett), Guen (& John), and Murrie. Parrasram's memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren Sadie, Colleen, Troy, Emily, Skylar, Isabella, Luke, Mason, and Charley.

Parrasram was preceded in death by his father, Bridgelal Gunness, his mother, Sonia Khadu, and his siblings Clyde, Steve, Mary, John, Patsy, and Wayne.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Lieber Funeral Home, located at 266 N. Central Ave, Valley Stream, NY. The family would like to express their gratitude to Lieber Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time.
