Olive I. Alnswick

Olive Alnswick, age 91, and formerly of Buxton Village, Guyana, passed after a brief illness, on December 29, 2023. She was a doting mother to her three offsprings, Caroline (Jenny), Hazel and Andre and was instrumental in imparting qualities that produced responsible individuals. Grandkids Craig and Carlotta also flourished under her care for a period during which she evolved into the mellow grandma.

She immigrated to the United States in 1995 and worked as a Home Care Attendant until retirement. Throughout the years she maintained her love for reading and cooking. Music accompanied by her rendition of the lyrics revealed her sentimental and jovial side. She adored all the grandkids and great grandkids and despite failing health prayed for Devine guidance for each.

Olive leaves to mourn her passing: Siblings Norma Peters, Arthur Butts; Children Caroline, Hazel, Andre; Grandkids Craig, Carlotta, Jermaine, Joslyn, Stephan; twelve great grandkids; relatives and friends. She has left us a wealth of memories. We all miss her dearly and may her soul Rest in Peace.
