Late Elder Oladiran Isaac Odeyemi
Oladiran Isaac Odeyemi was born on the 9 th of March, 1940 in Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria. He lost
his father at a very tender age and was largely cared for by his maternal grandmother. He started
working and fending for himself quite early in life; first as a teacher and later as a public
administrator. He retired from public service in 1986 and after a couple of years he got appointed
as a customary court Judge in his hometown, Ilesha, Southwest Nigeria. He was a fellow of the
Chartered Governance Institute and a Justice of the Peace. He got married to his wife, Mrs.
Titilayo Odeyemi (nee Famuyide) on March 3 rd , 1973, and the marriage was blessed with
children and grandchildren. He was a kind, personable, humble, wise, reliable and helpful
person. Until his relocation to the US in 2009, he was actively informed in several charity works
and community development activities through his membership of various charitable faith-based
group. He went to rest in the Lord on the 25 th of June 2023 at a ripe age of 83. He is survived by
his wife and companion of over fifty years, his children, and grandchildren.
