Mason N. Lugo

Mason, beloved brother, son, grandson, nephew, and cousin, was born in Queens and raised in Valley Stream.  An avid Blues Clues fan, he felt safe with his Handy Dandy Notebook by his side which began his passion for reading.

Participating in the Boy Scouts helped him learn some outdoor skills and how to overcome challenging situations.  His favorite pastimes were playing soccer, badminton, chess, and online strategic games with his friends.

Devouring books developed his passion for history, which led him to obtain an Associates degree from Nassau Community College, then a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from SUNY Old Westbury.  

Throughout his career, he was appreciative of the camaraderie and support from his brothers and sisters at Local 1109.  

Most of all, he loved his family, and always cared for them.  We will forever keep him in our hearts and cherish our memories with him.  Take care Mason, rest in peace.
