Mary Emilia Perciballi peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024. Born on January 10, 1930, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Mary was the cherished daughter of Anna and Pellino DiMario. Her parents were from Abruzzo, Italy. She was one of five children, alongside Alida, Carlo, Jennie, and Suzanne.
In 1947, Mary began her journey with Gino Perciballi, whom she married in Connecticut before the couple ventured to Jamaica, Queens for new opportunities. Settling in Elmont in the early 1950s, they established a home filled with love and Italian culture. Joined by Gino's family, along with her own, the Perciballi household became a haven of warmth and familial bonds.
Mary and Gino took great pride in caring for their home and their three daughters Linda, Jeanette, and Maria.
With the passing of Gino on June 13, 1985, Mary was left to carry on their legacy with strength and resilience. Despite this loss, the Perciballi home remained a hub of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Mary and Gino's family continued to grow with the arrival of seven grandchildren, including Maria, Danielle, Genene, Alexander and Gia Rose and five great-grandchildren, Owen, George, Anthony, Ryder and Eva, each bringing joy into her life.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Thursday June 13, 2024 at Lieber Funeral Home, 266 North Central Avenue, Valley Stream, New York. On Friday June 14, 2024, a funeral mass will be held at St. Boniface Church, 631 Elmont Road, Elmont, New York. The mass will be followed by a burial at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Road, Westbury, New York.
May Mary’s soul find peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
