It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Marjorie Watler (who was also affectionately known as Joy).
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Marjorie was a person that loved to laugh, dance, and have a great time. She was extremely selfless and always put people’s needs before her own. Alongside her husband Anthony, Marjorie raised three beautiful daughters (Tameka, Tiffany and Terianne) in New York. She was also blessed with four granddaughters (Tegan, Tesahni, Tassi, and Talia), whom she loved spending time with and adored tremendously.
Marjorie was known for her cheerful demeanor and gregarious personality. She loved traveling to new places and meeting new people. God had a way of using her often as a listening ear for others.
She leaves behind a countless number of family and friends that will forever be grateful for her sacrifices and impact on their lives. Our world will never be the same without her bright smile, warm personality, and great sense of humor; but we will forever be grateful to have experienced the world with her in it.
Her remembrance and celebration of life will be held at Edward F. Lieber Funeral Home (wake) and at St. Boniface Catholic Church (funeral service/church mass) followed by burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The Repast will take place afterwards at Island Fusion Caribbean Restaurant.
The Watler family would like to thank all family and friends for their outpouring of support during this heartbreaking time. The family prays that as you have remembered them during this trying time, God will also always remember you and yours; may you always have reason to praise the Lord.
Psalm 30:5 “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
