From her earliest days, in Haiti until her last day on July 28th, 2025. Titode embodied a story of resilience, courage, strength, perseverance, uplifting, caring and loving to name a few of her characteristics.
Titode was born in Jeremie, Haiti, on January 15th, 1939, to Elisabeth Pierre-Louis and Emmanuel Laurent. However, she was Elisabeth only child with many siblings on her father’s side. In 1983, she came to the United States in search of a better life for her family. Her family was always her priority. But she was always the first to offer help to extended family and friends. Her kindness was unlimited. She was the quiet strength behind many of our successes. As we each carry forward Titode’s spirit let us be reminded of the person that she was.
In Conclusion, I would like to share a prayer inspired by Titode’s resilience.
Prayer Of Resilience:
Lord, in the face of adversity, make me resilient. Strengthen my spirit to bounce back from challenges, knowing that your grace sustains me. Grant me the perseverance to endure. Amen.
