Marcia E. Page Obituary
Marcia Elaine Page
September 2, 1944 – May 4, 2026
Linstead, Jamaica, West Indies
Marcia Elaine Page, born Mercia Elaine Duncanson on September 2, 1944, in Linstead, Jamaica,
West Indies — a name that arrived with a typo on her birth certificate but a heart that needed
no correction — went home to the Lord on May 4, 2026. She was 81 years old, and in every one
of those years, she gave more than she received.
Marcia was, above all else, a woman of extraordinary love. For 61 years, she walked beside her
devoted husband, Daniel Page, and together they built a life and a family that stands as her
greatest legacy. She poured her entire heart and soul into raising her children — Dionne Page-
Johnson, Derek Page, and Janice Francis. A grandmother, who provided unconditional love and
affection, whose presence was felt as warmth, as pride, and as the unmistakable comfort of
home to her grandchildren: Terrell Johnson, Julian Francis, Janez Francis, Dylan Page, and Devin
Page. She welcomed her children-in-law, Juarez Francis and Doreen Page, into her heart without
reservation, and she leaves behind a cherished circle of nieces and nephews who felt the full
measure of her affection.
Marcia's kindness was not reserved for those who shared her blood — it extended naturally into
her life's work. She began her career in nursing, a calling that suited her generous spirit
perfectly, then devoted many years to raising her children at home, providing childcare to
others, ensuring that every child in her care felt safe and loved. When her own children grew
older, she channeled that same tireless energy into healthcare administration, managing
multiple physician practices and mastering skills few would take on in midlife — phlebotomy,
EKGs, and medical billing among them. She was never content to stop learning.
But perhaps no gift Marcia gave was more beloved than her food. She cooked with a devotion
that went beyond mere feeding — it was her language of love, spoken fluently and often. Even
after her children had homes and families of their own, she would quietly appear, containers in
hand, slipping meals into refrigerators unannounced so they would simply be found later — a
warm surprise waiting at the end of a long day. Her family called her the "Food Fairy", and no
title ever suited anyone more perfectly. Beyond the kitchen she found joy in reading, fishing,
gardening, and in her beloved collection of elephants, each one a small token of the strength,
wisdom and grace that defined her.
Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Icielda Duncanson; her sister, Yvette
Gray; and her brother, Donovan "Danny" Duncanson. She is survived by all those whose lives she
shaped and softened — a family who will carry her warmth forward, who will strive each day to
make her proud, and who will feel her presence most in quiet, ordinary moments: a home-
cooked meal, a garden in bloom, the unspoken understanding that love, offered freely and
without condition, is the only thing that truly endures.

She will live on in our hearts.
We will always strive to make her proud.
