Louise Marie Dorothy Holthusen Horn
September 18, 1928 – March 18, 2025
Born in Queens, New York, Louise Horn lived to the ripe young age of 96.
As a young girl she spent her summers on the Delaware River fishing and
swimming. She was a bright student and had a fondness for the Yankees, opera,
bowling, baking, the color pink, and all types of flowers especially Knockout roses.
Throughout her life, Louise was devoted to her family and had a wide range of
interests. In addition to raising five children, she enjoyed traveling and went on
many cruises. Her love of crafting led her to a leadership position in the 4-H Club
and later in her Senior Center.
She loved all things Christmas including the annual tradition of cooking brunkohl
and the summertime Plattduesche German festivals.
Louise is predeceased by her husband, John H Horn, and survived by her five
children:
John R Horn (MaryAnn), Jeanne Comando, Susan Millette, Peggy Rogers (Henry),
and Carol DiLernia (Susan). She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.
A hospitable and giving person, Louise will always be remembered by those who
knew her.
