Leonne Casimir Obituary
With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Leonne Casimir, who entered eternal rest on May 31, 2026. She was born on October 8, 1936, in Mont-Rouis, a place she loved dearly throughout her life.
Leonne was a devoted sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, cousin, godmother, and friend. To her family and community, she was much more than those titles, she was a source of strength, wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love.
Known affectionately as "Ayaa," a nickname lovingly given to her by her first grandson, Shamir, she embodied generosity in every sense of the word. Nothing was ever too much for her when it came to helping others. She always made herself available to those in need, offering a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and sound advice during life's most challenging moments.
Leonne had a deep love for her hometown of Mont-Rouis and never forgot her roots. She continuously gave back to her community by preparing meals and feeding those in need, donating clothing, contributing financially, and providing items and other necessities to her church. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her acts of generosity will be remembered for generations.
One of her greatest gifts was her dedication to family. She devoted herself to caring for the children in her family, so that loved ones could pursue their education, build successful careers, and achieve their dreams. Through her sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support, she helped shape the future of many.
As the matriarch of the family, Leonne was the heart that held everyone together. Her presence brought comfort, her wisdom guided decisions, and her love united generations. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of faith, service, compassion, and selflessness will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
Leonne leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sons, Leonard and Dominique ; her daughters-in-law, Krisna and Martine; her beloved daughter, Magda, and son-in-law, Gilbert; her siblings, Marie, Joseph, and Edgard; her grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever touched by her love.
Though she has departed from this earthly life, the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the lives she uplifted will remain with us forever. We thank God for the blessing of her life and find comfort in knowing that her beautiful spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
She lovingly cared for the children in her family so that others could pursue their education, build careers, and achieve their dreams.
