Today, we celebrate the life of Leafy V, Bolt, a committed family person, considerate friend and a
loving and giving soul. She embraced life with love, laughter, and a deep sense of togetherness.
Her memory lives in the hearts of all who knew her and her legacy of kindness and joy
continues to inspire.
Born in 1933 to Ridley and Brilliana Baugh in St Mary, Jamaica, she was the eight of ten
siblings, all of whom predeceased her. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Bolt, who
also predeceased her.
Family was at the heart of Leafy’s world. She was always the one to reach out to family
members to see how they were doing and to give a helping hand where needed. She was a
caring mother to her cherished daughter Sharon, and a doting grandmother to Marlon and
Rochelle. Her legacy of love and dedication lives on in them and in her great-grandchild
Nicholas. Her kindness and unwavering spirit and deep devotion to family left a lasting impact
on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Whilst in Jamaica, Leafy worked with the Jamaica Omni-Bus Services. After the company
ceased operation, she emigrated to the United States in 1985 and found employment in
childcare. She later worked as a Home Health Aide, until she retired.
Her journey was marked by her resilience, love, and the countless lives she touched. May her
memory forever be a blessing and a source of inspiration.
Leafy is sadly missed by her daughter Sharon, son-in-law Noel, grandchildren Marlon, Rochelle
and Alyssa great grandson- Nicholas and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family
members and friends.
May her soul rest in peace.
