Lawrence Cohen, 70, of Valley Stream, NY sadly passed away on October 14th, 2025 after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues. Lawrence was born to Gabriel and Ruth Cohen on July 25th, 1955. He attended Far Rockaway Highschool and went on to attend Brooklyn College.
He was a proud employee of the United States Postal Service in Far Rockaway, New York, where he worked diligently for many years and was known for his reliability, warmth, and kind spirit.
Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Eva, his daughter, Gabrielle (Matthew) Bernardez, his son, Jordan Cohen, and his adored granddaughters who brought endless joy to his life.
A man of generosity and deep affection, Lawrence expressed his love not only through words but through thoughtful gestures—small gifts, surprise treats, and his signature humor that could brighten any day. He was the kind of father who never hesitated to go out of his way for his children, and his presence was a constant source of comfort and laughter.
He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his devotion to family, and the way he made everyone around him feel loved. His memory will live on in the stories he told, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
