Grace Scala

Grace Marie Scala died on September 5th, 2020 at age 71 in Valley Stream, NY. Grace was born in Rye, New York on March 4th, 1949 to the late Daniel and Virginia Gagilardo as their only child. She was a nurse and hematology oncology lab technician for many years. Grace survived many hardships in her/ life, including a bout of malignant melanoma skin cancer, which almost cost her her life in the ‘80s. In the later years of her life, she spent much of her time volunteering at her parish, St. Thomas the Apostle in West Hempstead, until her health started to decline. She is survived by her husband, Vincent Sr. , their three children: Vincent Jr. (and his wife, Jenvier), Michael (and his wife, Toni), and Danielle (and her husband the late Rob). She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Sam, Roman, and Gino.
