Gloria T. Rizzi Bazzoli passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the age of 85.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Gloria later moved to Valley Stream, NY where she lived
with her family in a triple dwelling for 51 years. She is survived by her husband, Riccardo
Bazzoli, numerous cousins and godchildren, and her niece and family. Gloria is pre-deceased
by her Mom and Dad, Adelia and Silvio Rizzi, and beloved twin brother, Roberto Rizzi.
Gloria was a special person who loved nothing better than being with family and friends. After
years of working in administrative positions in Manhattan and Long Island, Gloria used her
attention to detail and keen organizational skills to take care of her family and home. A terrific
cook, Gloria was especially fond of trying new recipes as well as making traditional Tyrolean
dishes to celebrate her Northern Italian heritage. A member of Club Trentino, she spoke the
dialect as if she was born in Italy. Fifty-eight years ago, Gloria found her perfect match in
Riccardo. It was love at first sight for them both, and they left Brooklyn to marry in Italy and live
together in the breathtaking Dolomite mountains for two years.
Once back in the USA, Gloria and Riccardo, together with Roberto, enjoyed opening their home
to family and friends throughout the years for wonderful gatherings, holiday celebrations and
barbecues - offering all who attended much fun, many laughs, delicious Italian food and warm
memories. Gloria always had a smile on her face, and we will miss her warm sense of family
and uplifting spirit.
