Francine Tedesco, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away on Friday,
January 10th, 2025. Francine was 92 years old. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the only
child of Virgil and Helene (Zuzolo) Perilla. After graduating from high school, Francine enjoyed
working at City Bank for 17 years as a bank teller and later as a loan officer.
Francine enjoyed a lifelong love of swimming, skiing, skating, the beach, and times spent with
her family in the Poconos. This love persisted even when she could no longer partake in those
activities. She also loved crossword puzzles, a good scotch, and spending time around the dinner
table with her family.
Francine met the love of her life Francesco (Frank) Tedesco, and they were married upon his
return from deployment in Korea on May 16th, 1954. They celebrated 56 years together. They
raised a family of four children and throughout her life she never faltered with respect to her
Catholic faith. It saw her through the good times and bad times and comforted her in her last
days.
Francine is survived by her four children Lynda Fioretti (Andrew), Patricia Tedesco and David
Godshall, Joseph (Kara), and Frank (Dolores); eight grandchildren, as well as several nieces and
nephews. Her loving husband Frank predeceased her.
The Tedesco family would like to extend its gratitude to Sutton Gardens for the support they
provided to Francine over the past few months.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Francine’s wake to be held at the Edward F. Lieber
Funeral Home, 266 N. Central Avenue, in Valley Stream on Tuesday, January 14th
from 2:00-4:00 p.m., and 7:00- 9:00 p.m. The Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated at
9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15th at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook N.Y. Interment will
