Ed passed away around 9:45 pm on July 4th, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Heide and his daughters Becky and Dorie, and granddaughter Lexi. Ed was an easy going man, gentle and modest, with a weird sense of humor. His wife didn’t think he was that funny, but he had everybody in stitches, be it the nurses at the hospitals or at the rehabs where he was a patient at least once a year.
These last 20 months he resided at the Sunrise Senior Living facility where again he was known for his weird sense of humor.
He served on the NYPD for over 33 years. After retiring he got another job so the kids could get through college without debt.
Ed was church council President for Trinity Lutheran church for several years and finance officer for some more years.
He is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.
