Edward J. Borst

Edward Joseph Borst passed away on September 24, 2019, at the age of 88 years, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 20, 1931 to Edwin and Agatha Borst. He was the oldest of four children.
Ed married Patricia Gordon on September 5, 1949 and subsequently moved to Long Island ten years later. His career spanned 41 years with the NYC Fire Department. At the time of his retirement, he had achieved the rank of Battalion Commander of the 28 Battalion.
Ed is survived by his wife, Pat, his children, Phil, Michael, Jay, Patty and Kathleen and his sister, Eleanor. He was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
