July 25, 1939 ~ May 28, 2023 (age 83) 83 Years Old
Dora Milillo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2023, at the age of 83. Dora was born to Giovanni and Maria Giovanniello on July 25, 1939. She is survived by her dearest sister Nina and brothers Francesco and Isidoro. Dora lived life with love, dedication, an unwavering commitment to her family and a splash of purple ("poip").
Dora's journey began in Bari, Italy, where she met her soulmate, Michele Milillo. United in love, they embarked on a new adventure together, moving to America to build a life and raise a family. Dora and Michele were blessed with five wonderful children, Maria Morana (Jack), Frank Milillo (Tara), John Milillo, Cecilia Piergiovanni (Mike), and Michael Milillo (Jennifer), who became the center of their world.
Family meant everything to Dora, and she poured her heart and soul into raising and nurturing her children. Her gentle nature, compassionate spirit, and careful listening ear made her a pillar of support for her loved ones. Dora was always there with open arms, ready to provide comfort, guidance, and unwavering love. She taught her children the importance of family values, and her legacy of devotion will live on through the generations to come.
Dora's passion for cooking was evident in the homemade dishes she lovingly prepared. She took great joy in creating meals from scratch, using the freshest ingredients from her garden. Her culinary talents brought smiles to the faces of her family and friends, who eagerly gathered around her table to savor her cheese balls, lasagna, pizza dolce and more. Dora's kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Dora Milillo was a soft-spoken and compassionate woman whose love for her family knew no bounds. Her legacy of love, dedication, and the importance of family will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind. In addition to being a devoted mother, Dora was also a doting grandmother to eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She delighted in their presence and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was telling stories, playing games, or sharing words of wisdom, Dora had a special bond with each of her grandchildren. Her love and nurturing nature created a lasting impact on their lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, dear Dora. May your gentle soul find eternal peace in the embrace of your loved ones who have gone before you.
