Donna M Johnsen

Donna Johnsen was born on March 15, 1956 in Queens, New York to parents Harold and Katherine Dennerlein. She grew up in Woodhaven, and moved to Valley Stream after marriage to raise her own family, including husband Emil and sons Sean and Kyle.

Asking anyone about Donna would make them smile. She was a saint of a person who was loving, kind, and selfless. Donna loved her Irish heritage and had a very strong faith in God. Despite many years battling various cancers on and off, she was always the most positive person in the room, with a contagious heart that radiated on friendships all the way through teaching religious education which she adored. Donna enjoyed travel and actively visiting museums, beaches, and historic sites, but was just as happy at home tending to her garden, painting, and reading. She made the holidays extra special and loved hosting whether it be family or friends. Her gift of gab and sense of humor would remind everyone who knew Donna to wipe those eyes, smile, and remember all the wonderful memories. Donna will be deeply missed and forever loved.
