Catherine A. Ellard

Catherine Ellard, aged 82, of Valley Stream, New York, passed away on May 14, 2025.
Born on March 4, 1943, Cathy was the beloved wife of the late George E. Ellard. She was a devoted mother to Cathy (Arthur) and Maureen (Chester).
Cathy was a proud and devoted grandmother to Hannah and Katy. Her love and support were constant sources of comfort, and her legacy will live on through the values and memories she instilled in them.
Her unwavering faith in God guided her throughout her life. She found joy in reading and was a passionate fan of the New York Mets, rarely missing a game. For 57 years, she resided in the same cherished home in Valley Stream, where she built a lifetime of memories with her family.
Cathy’s warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. Her sense of humor brought joy to many. Her close and enduring friendships were a testament to the love and laughter she shared with others. Cathy’s legacy of love and devotion to her family and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:45 AM at Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church, located at 55 East Jamaica Avenue, Valley Stream, NY 11580.
Cathy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
