The writing of this obituary saddens me because it means we have lost a truly lovely person. Aurora (to me she was Tia) was the most patient person I have known. She knew when it was better to wait, and not act, when it was best to say nothing rather than speak harsh words. Aurora had many hardships in this life. She had to leave her beloved Cuba during the revolution, never to return. She endured the hardest tribulation a parent can face, the loss of her only daughter twenty years ago, but even so, she maintained a placid outlook. She believed God would provide peace, shelter and never abandon her.
Her favorite player was: "may God cover us with his great mantle and give us peace and tranquility."
She will be missed.
