It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Antonia Martin. She was a loving and generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a wonderful friend to so many.
She was extremely professionally accomplished, one of the few women in her time to earn a degree in pharmacy from Fordham University. She went on to earn a masters degree and became a dedicated teacher. Her teaching career began at St. Edmund’s High School in Brooklyn. She retired as chairperson of the science department at Cold Spring Harbor High School.
Her generosity and kindness touched the lives of many people in her family, professional career and volunteer activities.
She is survived by her three children Christopher, Louisa and Lorraine. Nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Her Catholic faith remained strong throughout her life and a funeral mass will be held in her honor at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook, on Friday December 12 at 9:45am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner Children's Hospital you can click on links below
