Anthony B. Tesoriero, 51, of Elmont, NY, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2022.
Anthony was born on April 23,1971 to the late Anthony and Frances Tesoriero in Valley Stream, NY.
Anthony graduated from Holy Cross Catholic High School in Flushing, Queens in 1989. He went on to play football and study Hospitality and Business Management at the University of Central Florida.
He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Frances Tesoriero; his older brother Paul Bonaventura; his grandparents John and Frances Greschuk and Bartolomeo and Maria Tesoriero; his Uncle Barney; and his Aunt Rosemarie Peters—who was truly the guiding force in his life.
Anthony is survived by his loving daughter Lucia Tesoriero, his sister Jeannette Dawydko and her husband Andrew, his brother Rodney Shealey and his wife Nicole; his soulmate Stacey McIlroy and her children Ella and Frankie; his best friend since childhood, Paul Noto, and his wife Josephine; Amilya Antonetti and her son David; his Uncle Henry Peters and Aunt Camille Tesoriero; nieces and nephews Theo Dawydko, Paul & Lisa Bonaventura, Andrea Schildwachter, Cole and Chase Shealey; his great-nieces and nephews Peter Jr. and Andrew Schildwachter, Myles and Owen Dawydko, Victoria and Paul Bonaventura III; and his first cousins, Gina Harner, Maria Martin, Andrea Mietus, Elaine Sadler, Nancy Borriello and Robert Peters.
Anthony was passionate about connecting with people. Anthony thrived in bringing people together and, in a quest to know more about the Tesoriero family, he and Stacey hosted annual gatherings of the Tesorieros he connected with on Facebook. Prior to the summer gatherings, Anthony could be found cooking with anticipation for the day ahead—a day that always brought him so much joy and pride in bringing all his family, new and old, together. Anthony enjoyed public speaking, politics, traveling, cooking, sports, new business ventures and volunteering in Lucia's school activities. One of Anthony's greatest accomplishments was being a father to Lucia.
Anthony took pride in being able to elevate people and took great interest in their life stories. Anthony was a strong, compassionate, and empathic man who made an impact on everyone he met. He truly was the bright light in our world, and we know he will always be with us.
True to his name, Tesoriero, meaning Treasurer, Anthony had a heart of gold and was the most generous person and shared his time, knowledge, and guidance to all that knew him.Anthony B. Tesoriero, 51, of Elmont, NY, passed away suddenly on May 4, 2022.
