Angela Sagginario, born on August 7, 1925, in Brooklyn, NY passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of ninety-nine, peacefully at her home.
Her early life was spent with her parents Leonard and Fannie and her five siblings: Ann, Chris, Fran, Vinnie and Charlie. She was blessed to grow up on a block filled with many aunts, uncles and cousins from which she developed her strong family affinity.
Angela was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in simple pleasures, including bowling with friends, creating intricate knitted and crocheted pieces, sewing, tending to her garden, reading novels and mastering crossword puzzles. Her hands were always busy with a project, and her creations were made with care and love.
She shared a beautiful journey of 70 years with her husband Joseph marked by love, laughter, and cherished memories from their extensive travel and family gatherings.
Angela and Joseph's love story began after his return from serving in the US Army during World War II, and their union was a testament to enduring love and commitment. They married in 1948 and eventually established their home in Valley Stream where they raised their family .
Angela's nurturing spirit and unwavering support created a warm and loving environment for her family to thrive. Her dedication to her loved ones knew no bounds, and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Angela's memory will be cherished by her children: Carol, her husband Russ, Joseph, his wife Carol, Maria and her husband Cliff. Her grandchildren: Judy, her husband JT, Joseph, his wife Yussra, Tom, his wife Britt, Joe and his wife Sarah and her great-grandchildren: Joseph, Kate, and Henry will forever hold dear the moments shared with their beloved matriarch.
In honoring Angela Sagginario's life, we celebrate a woman of strength, love, and creativity, whose legacy of kindness and compassion will endure for eternity. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph, in the eternal embrace of heaven.
