Andrea M. Loyal

Andrea Mary Liatto Loyal was born on August 26, 1975 and passed away on December 30, 2021. Andrea was the only child to Charles Anthony "Tony" Liatto and Margaret Liatto, whom have preceded Andrea in death. Andrea was born and raised in Valley Stream, attending Shaw Avenue elementary school and Valley Stream Central High School. Andrea went on to attend Molloy College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree.  
On December 30, 2021 Andrea's battle with Huntington's Disease ended. A disease that stole so much from her was never able to steal her unwavering spirit nor her infectious smile. To know Andrea is to know that she loved to love, caring more about the well-being of her friends and family then herself. Even though she lived under the shadow of this horrific disease, it didn't stop Andrea from living her life to fullest, making the most out of each day and finding love. Even though Andrea knew the realities of this disease, and what fate would befall her, she always chose to laugh rather than cry, have courage over fear, see the beauty in things rather than the ugly, and most of all she always chose Love. 
Andrea loved the beach, her childhood dog and all of her cats. But, most of all Andrea loved to dance, and for all those that knew Andrea, she will forever be dancing around in our memories. Andrea's love, empathy and fighting spirit should serve as an example for all that knew her that life is short, it can be hard, challenging and unforgiving, but if Andrea could live her life with such grace, compassion and Love then that will be Andrea's lasting impact and legacy.
Andrea is survived by her Aunt Mary and by two very special women in her life that she considered her aunts - Aunt Elaine and Aunt Janet. Andrea is also survived by a ton of friends that will forever miss her.
