OBITUARY
Our Beloved Father
Alphonse Frantz Duval (Franco)

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved patriarch, Alphonse Frantz Duval, affectionately known as Franco, who left us on September 4th, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on December 26, 1946, in the coastal town of Miragoâne, Haiti, Franco was the cherished son of Felix Duval and Hermite Pierre-Louis, who preceded him in death. His early years in Haiti shaped the foundation of the remarkable man he would become.

After completing his education in Haiti, Franco's entrepreneurial spirit first emerged when he worked for an American company as a young man. Driven by his passion for learning, he later pursued studies in auto mechanics before embarking on a life-changing journey to the United States in the late 1960s. There, his vision and determination flourished as he built multiple successful businesses, establishing himself as a respected entrepreneur in his community.

Franco's greatest treasure was his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rolande (née Bissereth), who stood by his side through life's adventures. His legacy lives on through his six children: Romane, Ronald, Florence, Dominick, Edward, and Carline. His joy multiplied with each grandchild-Rodwine, Imanee, Ronald II, Isabel, Cyrano Jr., and Dejuan Jr.-and was crowned by the arrival of his great-grandchild, Emery. His love extended to countless brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were blessed to call him family.

Those who knew Franco remember a man whose life was a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and infectious laughter. He was a master storyteller whose eyes would light up when sharing tales of his beloved Haiti or speaking about his unwavering faith in God. No gathering was complete without Franco's presence-his warm spirit could transform any room, and his humor had the magical ability to turn ordinary moments into cherished memories.

Franco's heart remained forever connected to Haiti, and his conversations would inevitably return to stories of his homeland, painting vivid pictures of the island that shaped his soul. His deep devotion to God was the compass that guided his journey, and his faith was evident in the grace with which he lived and loved.

Whether you knew him as Franco, Pop, Grandpa, Ti-Touk, Chief, or by any of the other endearing names he answered to, one thing remained constant-his ability to touch lives and leave lasting impressions on everyone he encountered. His vibrant personality was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

While his physical presence is no longer with us, the void he leaves is filled with countless memories of his laughter, his wisdom, and his boundless love. Franco taught us that family is everything, that faith provides strength, and that laughter truly is the best medicine.

The love we hold for Alphonse Frantz Duval cannot be measured in words. His legacy of love, his entrepreneurial spirit, his devotion to family, and his unshakeable faith will continue to inspire us for generations to come. Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life well-lived and a love that will never fade.

Franco, you will forever remain in our hearts, and your impact on this world will never be forgotten.
