Aladino Lopez

Aladino Lopez Velasquez, known to many as Ali, of Valley Stream New York, passed away May 14, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice at the age of 74. 

Ali was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico on October 26, 1948.  At the age of 17 he came to New York and worked until finding his career as a postal worker serving the Soundview area of the Bronx until his retirement in 2014.

Ali was a beloved husband, caring big brother, loving grandfather, adored son, and much-loved uncle and dearest friend to all who met him.

He is survived by his dearest wife and life partner, Karen Vasquez, son Aladino III (Jennifer), his grandsons Aladino IV and Francisco, his sister Ana, brother Angel (Francisca), nieces Melissa, Jessica, Frances and Vanessa, their spouses and children. Ali is also survived by many, many friends who hold him dear to their hearts. 

He is pre-deceased in life by his adoring parents, Aladino I and Anatilde, and his beloved grandparents Mama Tita and Papa Chele.
