Warren Fare Obituary

Warren Frederic Fare

Warren Frederic Fare of 9 Raisig Ave, Valley Stream, passed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. He was 67 years old. Warren was born July 3, 1951 in Oceanside, NY and was a life long resident of Valley Stream.  He attended Clear Stream Ave. Elementary School in Valley Stream, Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf in Mill Neck, PS 47 in New York City and New York School of Printing in New York City.  He was retired from North Shore Hospital at Glen Cove, where he was a Journeyman in the Maintenance Dept. for 32 years.

He was a member of The Knights of Columbus - Sign of the Cross Council #11254

He was a member of a bowling league at the AMF of East Meadow. He was a member of the Wantagh Deaf Seniors Center where they held card games every Thursday. He had ping pong tournaments held in his basement that he probably could have made it official by all the “official” rules he had for it. He loved to work on projects, for example making cornhole and a road racing track set for his best friend. His nickname should have been MacGyver, he was really creative and would help work on anything in the house. He was always proud of the work he did and loved to show everyone his work. He also loved to brag about his family. He loved to go camping, fishing, being with the family, and going out to just have a good time. He loved to say, “for 30 years I had this.” (It was always 30 years.) Another famous quote from him was “verrrrry nice”. He was very organized if anything was out of place he knew someone had touched it or moved it. He also would leave extra early to events, jobs, or anything he needed to be at just to make sure he did not hit traffic, but it would always be way too early.

Warren is survived by his wife of 36 years, Theresa Caruso Fare, two children, Marie Walsh (James), and Warren Jr. (Jessica), three grandchildren, Aydan, Timothy and Scarlett, four brothers John (Jackie), Thomas (Kathy), Douglas (Cathy) and Edwin and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Karen, a brother Charles, and his parents, Wilbur and Elsie Fare.
