Anna Pedone Obituary

Anna Pedone is a paramount staple in our family, especially in the lives of her two daughters;
Angela and Maria, five grandchildren; Catherine, Kevin, Christina, Leanna and Jaclyn, and three
great-grandchildren; Colin, Lily and Weston. Anna battled through cancer, a stroke, a heart
attack and losing her husband to cancer in her mid-fifties. Despite the hardships, the strength of
her persistent will was extremely impressive. Anna was a brave and strong woman who
understood how to provide compassion and guidance during life’s difficult moments.
She loved to sew and fix our clothes or sew our Girl Scout badges onto the uniforms. Anna
enjoyed watching Yankee games, as she would ask in a jokingly and perplexing way, “But why
are the players always spitting?!” Anna adored sharing old Italian recipes, where she would
write them down and hand them out to her family. She knew exactly how to make you laugh
either it being at the appropriate or most inappropriate moments! She said it just as it is, nothing
to hide and nothing to regret. When Anna was a mother to young children, Sunday’s were
important to her. She would make homemade tomato sauce and cook for an army. Her door
was always opened for anyone who wanted to join them at the dinner table. Anna loved telling
stories about her childhood years and falling in love with her husband, John. She was the
daughter of an ice and coal delivery service in the 1930’s. She lived during the depression and
taught us the value of conservation and working diligently toward whatever you wish to achieve.
Anna taught her family how to be strong and how to take care of each other. She adored
holding and kissing her great-grand babies. She was the epitome of maternal nature. Now Anna
is at peace and finally has reunited with her loving husband. She will dance to Nat King Cole as
she shares a cocktail with him. She will eat endless Italian dinners with her parents, aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends. Anna’s personality and quick wit will always be remembered and
carried with us for the rest of our lives. The memories you have given us, we will forever hold in
our hearts. Anna is our guardian angel now- keeping us safe and watching over us. Anna’s
laugh and smile will guide us through the darkness and her love will allow our souls to shine.
When Anna took her last breath, it started to rain. The sky was not crying; it was Anna, watering
the flowers to help make our Earth beautiful.
Forever and always cherished,
Angela and John, Maria and John, Catherine, Kevin, Christina, Leanna, Jaclyn, Chuck, Vinny,
Monica, Colin, Lily, Weston, Teddy and Jax

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
